Calgary Foothills Soccer Club 2009/10 Program Information

Foothills was established in 1972 and has delivered results consistently throughout its history. Foothills is a smaller Club that is focused on quality and not quality. Everyone claims to be the TOP CLUB but Foothills can back it up!

• We are the number one youth club in Alberta per the 2009 edition of "The Canadian Club Championships" written by Dick Labromas as posted on the Canadian Soccer Association website
• Most teams represented at Tier 1 provincials during the last three years of any Club in Alberta
• Most teams representing Alberta at the Canadian National Championships of any Club
• Sent 7 teams to Nationals in the last 5 years placing (1st, 1st, 1st, 1st, 2nd , 3rd, and 5th)
• Some teams with a 100% success rate attaining University Scholarships

Foothills offers has a well established technical curriculum and technical program with strong teams at all ages, and for both boys and girls. Based on the Tier 1 results from the past 3 years (or 6 seasons), Foothills is statistically the leading club in terms of having the most success in league play, provincial play and National level play.

Foothills also consistently sends players for trials and evaluations all over the world. Foothills has alumni that play University, Provincial Teams, National Teams, and even professionally:

• Owen Hargreaves - our most famous alumni is an English National team player, and plays for Manchester United.
• We have many players playing on Canadian National teams that represent our Club proudly.
• Most teams representing Alberta at the Canadian National Championships of any Club
• Foothills teams have won and medaled at prestigious international tournaments like the Ian Rush tournament in Wales, and the Dallas Cup.)
