"We aim to provide each player with a positive environment that is best suited to their age and ability. We believe in creating memories and opportunities for our players that will help teach them positive life lessons and prepare them for what lies ahead, whether that's within or outside the beautiful game of soccer."

Leon Hapgood is the Club assistant technical director. Leon is a UEFA B certified coach who most recently was an Academy director from my time at Torquay Utd., a professional Club in England. Leon is a former professional player who played more than one-hundred games in the English League with clubs such as Torquay, Yeovil Town, and Plymouth Argyle.

"We strive to make our Academy a top development experience from the moment the player arrives to the minute they leave the pitch. Often we have guest coaches from other professional clubs as part of our continued link from England that is growing all the time and our players quickly learn that they already have a top European quality experience within Foothills"

Colin MacKay is our director of Grassroots Soccer handling our U6 and U8 program and competitive programs. Colin is a Provincial B licensed coach, and also carries a certificate in Soccer Management and Scouting. Colin has been with the club for 7 years.

"At Foothills we value all of our players regardless of age or skill. My role is to provide the younger players and more recreational players with a program that meets their needs as players. Our U6/U8 program is truly remarkable and includes fun based technical training, mini festivals, Jamborees and lots of other extras. Many of our National medalist older players and alumni are out on the field with our young future champions. This is very unique and all around are smiles from players and trainers having a great time."

Graham Kennedy is our director of coaching. Graham is a UEFA B licensed coach and has his Masters of Education. Graham has been an icon of Foothills soccer and has been the technical director at Foothills for nearly a decade. Graham worked at the Birmingham City FC as a guest coach on two occasions and was on their staff for a U17 tournament in Italy. He served as scout for BCFC for western Canada for two years. His last coaching post was the U18 girls National Champion Foothills Colts. Graham continues to work with Foothills through coaching education programs.

"The backbone of any club are their coaches. At Foothills we take great pride in providing coaching education through our formal training at the beginning of the season. However, our commitment is far greater and we constantly strive to mentor our coaches through feedback, updates, and constant education."
